If you have never heard the special melodious voices known as Libera, you have missed out on listening to some of the most exquisite angelic music on this side of Heaven. The boys who make up Libera range in age from seven to sixteen, and attend various local schools in the South London area. Their backgrounds are also varied and English is not the only language that some of the boys speak.
The Unique Sound that is Libera
Over the past few years, Libera, who prefers to refer to themselves as “an alternative kind of boy band” instead of choirboys, has traveled the world entertaining audiences with their angel voices, including a recent visit to Washington, D.C. where they performed a made-for-television concert for PBS at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. And according to their official website, their albums “have topped both mainstream and classical charts in many countries, and their recordings hold their place in top-tens alongside major artists like Bocelli.” They have amassed a worldwide fan base particularly in the United States, the United Kingdom, the Philippines, South Korea and Japan, where they pack concert halls. Their sound is unique and unlike anything that you have ever experienced musically. This is Libera.
